What an amazing world...
I am just setting up a computer for my 3 year old daughter. As I am installing Edubuntu on the system, I am thinking about Christopher's first computer when he was about 3 as well. His was an Apple ][ GS that had a color display, but was many years old and had few games. In contrast, the computer I just set up for Cassie has a Pentuin 4 Processor, 1Gig of RAM and a 40BG hard drive. The interesting part is the operating system. It will be running a variant of Lunux, a FREE and OPEN SOURCE operating system. What that means is that Cassie can have a current system, without my having to buy another copy of Windows. There are a lot of games and applications she can use which are also free. What an amazing world...
